Pre-primary Sports Day
“School sports – a place where lessons are being still learned, and where athletes still compete for the love of the game and their teammates”
The Pre Primary Sports Day was held on 1st December 2018. It was based on the theme ‘Seasons’, and it was a resounding success. It was presided by our distinguished chief guests Ms. Chitra Doraiswami and Dr. Bhaskar Reddy accompanied by our Vice Principal Ms. Swati Soni.
The day unfolded with bright sunshine, a gentle breeze, and an enthusiastic buzz in the air. The programme commenced with our adorable babies swinging their colourful pom poms and swaying to the tunes of the melodious music reminding one of the beautiful flowers in the summer. The Kindergarten students matched it with a beautiful ‘Butterfly drill’ which reminded every one of the Spring. The Monsoon season is synonymous with umbrellas, and our tiny tots of the kindergarten evoked the monsoon fervor with an umbrella dance. A lovely sight to behold indeed! The winter season was very aptly portrayed by our Montessori Juniors performing a brisk drill with white mittens. To sum up the energetic mood our seniors performed a Zumba routine with great gusto.
What is a sports day without races! So our children competed in various variants of individual races which tested their grit and determination. On the other hand, they actively took part in a ‘Relay race ’ which exhibited their team spirit and coordination. In keeping with our partnership with parents, the parents enthusiastically took part in a Game event conducted for them, which took the little ones by surprise! A healthy competition which was cheered by one and all!
The day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony for the winners who were elated to receive their medals and certificates from our chief guests. But everybody went home as a winner having imbibed the spirit of leadership, sharing, team spirit, and tolerance which is synonymous with sports. It was a day well spent with happy and vibrant smiles all around.
